I am married to Dennis Hefel and have three grown children  and five step-children along with a total of seven grandchildren.  Prior to coming to Mazzuchelli I was a 7th-8th grade teacher at Holy Ghost School for 18 years, having started my teaching career at Sacred Heart here in Dubuque.  My entire teaching career has been spent in Catholic institutions.

In each of our Mazzuchelli newsletters I will include a list of service opportunities as well as middle school activities offered by our local parishes.  Although we are not located on the campus of any one parish, we are of one family by virtue of our Baptism and we encourage our students to lend both time and talent to these communities as they “put on Christ” and are Christ to one another.
